Games event in the world and home to the North American Pipe Band
Championships. Come share in the Glengarry Scottish tradition in
Maxville where dancing, drumming, music, entertainment, food, and
shopping are all there for you to enjoy. Marvel at the strength of the
Heavyweight competitors in the Caber Toss or watch the Highland fling
from your covered grandstand seats. We will return to Ottawa following
the Mass Bands closing performance. This is one of the best summer
events in Ontario. Book early for this great day!
St. Eustache Sugar Party
Today we depart for St. Eustache to enjoy a traditional home-cooked lunch served
by the Constantin Family. Following lunch you will have time to enjoy line
dancing, a walk through the sugar bush or a visit to the gift shop to purchase
some maple products before returning to Ottawa. A Super Day for the Sweet Tooth! A Taste of Prince
Edward County "Picton & Bloomfield" Today we discover a taste of Old Ontario in the heart of beautiful
Prince Edward County. We travel to Canada’s newest emerging Bay of
Quinte wine region where we’ll visit a unique cheese factory
specializing in producing goat and sheep cheese. Then, we will
experience a tour and tasting at the Waupoos Estate Winery located
alongside the shores of Prince Edward Bay. Then, our travels continue
onto Picton to enjoy a taste of hospitality and a delicious lunch at
the historical Waring House, an elegant farmstead dating back to the
1860’s. This afternoon we’ll visit the quaint village of Bloomfield
and tour Huff Estates Winery before returning to Ottawa.
Vermont Quilt Festival With your quilting Friends aboard we will depart
for one of New England’s largest quilting events in Essex Junction,
Vermont. The festival has evolved over the years to become an admirable
creation. It all started with a colorful collection of dedicated and
knowledgeable quilters and quilt historians, enthusiastic students, and
creative instructors. A day that will let you find that special
something for your creative passion! The Magic of Lanterns This afternoon we depart
for Montreal to experience the Magic of Lanterns in the Chinese Garden
at the Montreal Botanical Gardens. Upon our arrival, we’ll enjoy a
guided tour of Montreal followed by a delicious dinner. Tonight, witness
over a thousand traditional lanterns and dozens of enormous figures
representing popular Chinese art. This will be a spectacular evening
event to remember. |
