Day 1: Los Angeles, CA
Join your Ottawa Valley Tour Director at Ottawa International Airport as we board our flight to Los Angeles. This tour features some of America’s most colourful and spectacular scenery and includes visits to three U.S. national parks. Your vacation begins with an arrival in Los Angeles. This morning you depart on a city tour of Los Angeles, the “City of Angels.” On this tour you will see many of Hollywood’s famous landmarks, including Grauman’s Chinese Theater, the Walk of Fame and the famous "Hollywood" sign. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure.Day 3: Los Angeles, CA - Scottsdale, AZ
Travel east today through California’s countryside to the state of Arizona. Tonight you arrive in the picturesque city of Scottsdale, your home for the next two nights at the Doubletree Paradise Valley. (D)Day 4: Scottsdale - Phoenix – Scottsdale, AZ
This morning a local guide will introduce you to Scottsdale and Phoenix. Highlights of this tour include downtown Phoenix, Camelback Mountain, Paradise Valley, Old Town Scottsdale and more. Next, you will learn how Native American jewellery and handicrafts are made at a jewellery-making demonstration. The remainder of the day is at leisure to check out Old Town Scottsdale or just relax and enjoy the amenities at your hotel. (B)Day 5: Scottsdale - Sedona - Grand Canyon
Begin the day with a visit to the beautiful city of Sedona and take some time to shop in the marketplace. You will be amazed with Oak Creek Canyon, where the rock formations seem to change hue with every turn in the road. Later, as you travel through the spectacular Kaibab National Forest, you will reach the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Tonight, join your fellow travelers for dinner. This morning you will have some time to explore the Grand Canyon. Behold amazing views of the canyon with a drive along the South Rim. Theodore Roosevelt, upon visiting the canyon, is quoted as saying, “This is one of the great sights which every American, if he can travel at all, must see.” Later, leave nature’s beauty behind for the glitz and glamour of the Las Vegas strip. Probably the most famous stretch of road in the world, its four miles of neon-lit resorts with around-the-clock action is like nowhere else on earth. A two-night stay provides you plenty of time to enjoy the shows, the casinos and all the fun. Planet Hollywood Hotel will be our home for the next two evenings. (B,D)Day 7: Las Vegas, NV
Enjoy a day of leisure. Lounge by the pool sipping cool drinks, experience an amazing one-of-a-kind show, go hiking, or try your luck in the casino. Or perhaps explore the hotels on the strip with themes that capture your attention as you get swept away by the wonders inside. Take time to visit Mandalay Bay’s Shark Reef Aquarium or stop by the Luxor to see the sphinxes and pyramid. New York-New York brings the “Big Apple” to life right on the Vegas strip. See the Eiffel Tower, “ooh” and “ahh” at the Mirage volcano, or watch pirates battle at Treasure Island. The Las Vegas strip brings the world to you.Day 8: Las Vegas - Fresno, California
Leave Nevada behind and travel back into the state of California. Traveling to the interior of the state, you arrive in the San Joaquin Valley area and the city of Fresno. Known as California’s "New Frontier", Fresno is a fast-growing metropolis within a region renowned for its agricultural setting and its cultural diversity which is displayed in a wide variety of museums, restaurants and festivals. The Sheraton Four Points will be our accommodations for the evening. (D)Day 9: Fresno - Yosemite National Park - San Francisco, CA
Today will surely be a highlight as you visit one of Mother Nature’s greatest masterpieces, Yosemite National Park. Yosemite’s amazing waterfalls, unique rock formations, deep valleys, Alpine meadows and groves of giant sequoias will leave you awestruck. Later, travel through the majestic Sierra Nevada mountains en route to the "City by the Bay", San Francisco. We’ll spend the last two evenings at the Courtyard by Marriott, Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco. (B)Day 10: San Francisco, CA
Enjoy a captivating city tour featuring the popular landmarks of this dynamic city. Highlights include the Twin Peaks, Seal Rocks, the Golden Gate Bridge and Chinatown. Upon completion of the tour, the remainder of your day is at leisure to explore Fisherman’s Wharf, shop in Union Square, or ride the famed cable cars up and down San Francisco’s thrilling hills. (D)Day 11: San Francisco, CA - Ottawa, ON - Tour Ends
