Day 1: To Edmundston, NB
Today we depart for our Atlantic Canada adventure traveling through the
province of Quebec and through the Saint John River Valley enroute to
New Brunswick. We will overnight at the Clarion Hotel &
Suites in Edmundston.
Day 2: To Saint John, NB
Our travels continue along the scenic Saint John River Valley. We’ll view
the world’s longest covered bridge in Hartland and make a stop in
Fredericton for a guided visit of Kings Landing Historical Settlement
followed by lunch on your own. Nestled in a majestic setting, this award
winning living history village depicts the one hundred year transformation
of a young colony into a vibrant nation. Later this afternoon we will
continue on to Saint John for our overnight at the Delta Hotel. (B)
Day 3: To Charlottetown, PEI
This morning, after breakfast, we will visit one of New Brunswick’s most
intriguing attractions, Hopewell Rocks, where the power of the Bay of Fundy
tides has formed enormous “flower pots.” Continuing on our way, we will
cross over the world’s longest, continuous multi-span Confederation Bridge
to Prince Edward Island, home of Anne of Green Gables, viewing red soil,
sand dunes and green fields enroute to the home of Confederation -
Charlottetown. Our afternoon arrival will give us a chance to check into the
Rodd Royalty Hotel in Charlottetown, our home for the next two nights.
Tonight enjoy a live theatre production at the Charlottetown Festival
Theatre. (B) Day 4: Charlottetown, PEI
Our day will include a full day tour with a local guide touring
Charlottetown and the Island. We’ll visit Province House, Cavendish Beach,
the National Park, Anne of Green Gables Museum, PEI Preserve Company and
historic Charlottetown. Tonight join your Tour Director and traveling
companions for a traditional PEI “Lobster” dinner at the Fisherman’s Wharf,
a maritime favourite. (An alternate menu selection will be available). (B,D)
Day 5: Charlottetown to Sydney, NS
Early morning departure finds us cruising from Prince Edward Island to Nova
Scotia aboard the Woods Island Ferry. We will cross over the Canso Causeway
as we enter Cape Breton Island. You will enjoy the scenic drive alongside
the Bras D’or Lakes enroute to the National Historic Fortress of Louisbourg
for a guided tour. Tonight we will overnight in Sydney. (B)
Day 6: Cabot Trail, NS | Baddeck, NS | Port
Hawkesbury, NS Today we will drive along the famous Cabot Trail,
a scenic, 300 km circle tour of the eastern and western shores of Cape
Breton Island and the picturesque Margaree Valley. We will make a stop at
the Alexander Graham Bell Museum in Baddeck before arriving in
Port
Hawkesbury at the Maritime Inn for our overnight. (B)
Day 7: To Halifax, NS Enjoy the great
beauty of the Maritimes as we travel to Halifax. Our early arrival will give
us the opportunity to visit downtown Halifax and the “Historic Properties.”
We’ll overnight the next two evenings at the Atlantica Hotel or similar. (B)
Day 8: Halifax, NS Today we enjoy a
sightseeing tour of Halifax with a local guide and a drive along the coast
to romantic Peggy’s Cove, a photographer’s delight. During your tour you’ll
experience Pier 21 and the significant role it played in Canadian History.
Enjoy a leisurely evening dining in Halifax or perhaps visit the Waterfront
Casino to “Challenge Your Luck.” (B)
Day 9: To Lunenburg, NS | Mahone Bay, NS | Moncton, NB
This morning we depart with a local guide on a scenic morning tour to the
charming UNESCO World Heritage town of Lunenburg and the postcard perfect
Maritime town of Mahone Bay. We’ll continue later this afternoon along
the Veterans Highway to Moncton, New Brunswick for our overnight at the
Crowne Plaza Hotel, or similar. (B) 
Day 10: Riviere-du-Loup, PQ After
breakfast we bid farewell to the province of New Brunswick and continue on
to the province of Quebec where we will overnight in Riviere-du-Loup at the
Auberge de la Pointe. (B) Day 11: To Ottawa,
ON We depart Riviere-du-Loup along the southern shore of the
St. Lawrence making a brief stop in the wood carving capital of St. Jean
Port Joli. Enjoy lunch and browsing in Quebec City before making our way
back to Ontario with an arrival early evening into Ottawa. (B)
