Day 1: To Riviere-du-Loup, PQ
Depart Ottawa and enjoy the serenity of the St. Lawrence River as we journey to Riviere-du-Loup where a friendly French Canadian welcome awaits us at the Auberge de la Pointe.Day 2: To Perce, PQ
Today, we begin our journey into the heart of the Gaspe Peninsula, traveling through picturesque New Brunswick and century-old fishing villages that border the magnificent shores and landscapes. As we approach the village, you値l marvel at the spectacular five million ton Perce Rock rising out of the sea. This giant draws thousands of tourists to the area each year. After checking into the Riotel Bonaventure Hotel in Perce for the next two nights, your evening will be free to enjoy this charming seaside village. (B)
Day 3: Perce, PQ
This morning (weather permitting), we値l tour Bonaventure Island - the largest bird sanctuary in North America. You値l not only see exotic species of feathered creatures, you値l also get a great opportunity to view the mammoth Perce Rock up close. This afternoon you can choose to tour the area with a local guide or take an optional afternoon whale-watching cruise at your leisure. (B)
Day 4: Gaspe Peninsula to Rimouski, PQ
We continue through the Gaspe Peninsula, making stops throughout the day for many picture-taking opportunities. We値l wind our way along the north shore of the peninsula and the St. Lawrence making a stop to tour the famous Reford Gardens before arriving in Rimouski, the capital of the lower St. Lawrence Region for the evening. Overnight at the Hotel Rimouski. (B)
Day 5: To Ottawa, ON
We値l travel the north shore of the St. Lawrence as we journey towards home. Early evening arrival into Ottawa. (B)
