Day 1: To Philadelphia, PA
Take your garden to a new level as we depart today for old-world charming Philadelphia to experience the largest annual indoor garden show in the world. Our American friends will welcome and host us for the next three nights at the Holiday Inn Philadelphia or similar.
Day 2: Philadelphia, PA
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel this morning before we depart for a sightseeing tour of Philadelphia with a knowledgeable period costumed guide. Then, we will arrive at one of the most prestigious flower shows in the world. The Philadelphia Flower show comes alive with a “Bella Italia” theme embracing Itally with breath-taking displays. Tonight we’ll enjoy dinner and a theatre production in historical Philadelphia. (B,D)Day 3: Brandywine Valley & Philadelphia, PA
This morning following breakfast we set out to discover the magnificent treasures of the Brandywine Valley area where you will be able to stroll through a mixture of American and European landscape and garden styles, boasting 11,000 different varieties of plants, at the world’s premier horticultural exhibit - Longwood Gardens. Later this afternoon, we’ll visit Winterthur, an American Country Estate featuring an outstanding collection of antiques and glorious gardens. We’ll make a stop for some tax free shopping before returning to the hotel for a relaxing evening. (B)Day 4: Ottawa, ON
Today following breakfast, we bid farewell to the place that “Loves You Back” – Philadelphia and return to Ottawa with an early evening arrival in Ottawa. (B)
