Day 1: To Kitchener, ON
Today we depart for the Oktoberfest Festival, renowned for delicious German food, friendly people and lots of oompah pah and dance. We’ll overnight in downtown Kitchener, at the Delta Kitchener-Waterloo Hotel, for the next two nights. Unpack, relax and let the fun begin. Tonight you’ll enjoy a delicious dinner with live entertainment at a local “festhallen” Willkommen - the German word for “Welcome” is heard everywhere during Oktoberfest, with authentic Bavarian food, traditional folk dancers and lots of music to get everyone on their feet. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast this morning at the hotel. Today we will step back in time and tour “Mennonite Country” with a local guide. The picturesque Countryside Tour will allow stops in the village of St. Jacobs, the Outlet Mall for browsing and the Stone Crock Restaurant for a delicious lunch.
