Whale Watching Excursion or a Dune Ride, on this truly unforgettable escape
to the Cape.
Day 1: To Cape Cod, MA
We’ll travel today to the famous “Cape” of the southern seashore. We
will stop for a buffet dinner before arriving at the Holiday Inn (July) or The
Hyannis Harbor Hotel (October) in Hyannis. Unpack and relax, this will be your
home for the next four nights. (D)
Day 2: Provincetown, Cape Cod, MA -
Whale Watch or Dune Ride
After breakfast, a local guide will lead us on a sightseeing tour of
the area. We’ll travel historic Route 6A, the scenic road to the tip of the
Cape, Provincetown, with stops at the historical Eastham Windmill and the
Highland Lighthouse. Later this afternoon you will be given a choice of a three
hour Whale Watching Cruise, or a Dune Ride.
The naturalist on board will explain the different types of marine life you will
see including the “gentle giants” of the ocean. Bring your camera for some
memorable picture taking opportunities! Or, experience a Dune Ride aboard an
enclosed vehicle, and travel along the shoreline to see “dune shacks” where
famous artists and writers have become inspired to create their art. Some
leisure time will be available to browse in Provincetown on Commercial Street
lined with shops and galleries. Tonight enjoy dining with the group at a local
establishment. (B,D)
