Day 1: To Wheeling, WV
Today we travel into the rolling hills of Pennsylvania for a special weekend getaway to Wheeling, West Virginia nestled along the banks of the Ohio River and waiting to be explored. Upon our arrival we’ll check into the McLure House Hotel, where we’ll be welcomed by our American hosts, for the next three nights. Enjoy a wonderful dinner and a fabulous “Boot Scootin’ Boogie” show at the hotel this evening. (D)Day 2: Wheeling, WV
This morning, following breakfast, we’ll be met by a local guide for a historical tour of Wheeling including stops at the Kruger Street Train and Toy Museum, Oglebay Park and Mansion. Enjoy lunch at the market. We’ll return back to the hotel to freshen up before we experience another wonderful dinner and a Vaudeville show. (B,D)
Day 3: Wheeling, WV
Rise and Shine to breakfast with the Gospel Singers before we depart for a tour of WV Independence Hall and a Victorian mansion. Later today we’ll visit Wheeling Island Racetrack and Gaming Centre with time for lunch and a chance to “Challenge Your Luck” at the slots. Tonight we’ll enjoy dinner and entertainment at the track. Day 4: To Ottawa, ON
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before we bid farewell to our American friends and return home with many memories of our Salute to Canada holiday. (B)
