Today our journey crosses the 1000 Islands Bridge and continues through the rolling hills of Upstate New York to the picturesque Finger Lakes Region. Enjoy a visit to the New York Wine and Culinary Centre for a tour and tasting before continuing on to Auburn. We’ll be welcomed by warm hospitality at the Holiday Inn for the next three nights. Tonight enjoy a relaxing and leisurely dinner at the hotel. (D)Day 2: Seneca Lake Loop, NY
Enjoy a delicious breakfast this morning at the hotel. Today we depart for a full day of looping around Seneca Lake, the deepest lake. We’ll make a stop at Watkins Glen Gorge known as “the land of the backyard waterfalls.” Deep in the rock-wall, this canyon is a natural walkway bringing you within a few feet of the gorge. Experience waterfalls, cascades and grottoes. Our journey continues on to historical Corning for shopping and lunch along charming Market Street. This tree-lined street has over 100 shops, outlets, restaurants, and three hot glass studios, all remarkably intact in late 19th century commercial architecture. Then, we will visit the Corning Museum of Glass, New York States third largest tourist attraction and a one-of-a-kind experience. Later this afternoon enjoy a tasting of some fine vintages at Glenora Winery, one of the most picturesque wineries, before arriving at the historical Belhurst Castle, overlooking Seneca Lake, for a delicious dinner. Experience the romance of the past with the comforts of the present in an elegant, yet relaxed atmosphere. (B,D)Day 3: Cayuga Lake Loop, NY
This morning enjoy breakfast at the hotel. We depart today traveling the scenic byway looping around Cayuga Lake, the longest of the Finger Lakes. We’ll stop at Mackenzie-Childs in Aurora, a unique shopping experience overlooking beautiful Cayuga Lake. You will love visiting this innovative maker of handcrafted whimsical pottery, furniture, glassware, home furnishings and strolling through the beautiful gardens. Enjoy leisure time for lunch at Wegman’s in Ithaca. We’ll make a brief picture stop at Taughannock Falls, a beautiful 215-foot waterfall. Enjoy a tasting of some award-winning wines and a spectacular view of Cayuga Lake’s west side at Goose Watch Winery. Tonight enjoy warm hospitality and a relaxing family style dinner at the charming and historical Springside Inn, overlooking Owasco Lake. (B,D)Day 4: To Ottawa, ON
After breakfast we bid farewell to our Finger Lakes hosts and travel to the Waterloo Premium Outlets for shopping. We depart early afternoon for Ottawa after a fun-filled Finger Lakes experience. (B)A valid Passport is required.
