Day 1: To Windermere, ON
Our journey today finds us travelling into the heart of the beautiful Muskoka Region where our hosts at the Baldwin’s Resort, a historical mansion situated on the shores of beautiful Lake Rosseau, will welcome us with warm hospitality. Get prepared for great fun, a casual atmosphere and good old-fashioned hospitality. After you have become acquainted with your surroundings, join your fellow travelling companions for a get acquainted reception with some hors d’oeurves and wine before sitting down to a fabulous dinner prepared by the chef. Tonight join your travelling companions for a game of bridge or bid euchre in the games room, take a swim in the indoor pool or a whirlpool and sauna to relax. (D)
Day 2: Gravenhurst, ON
After a hearty breakfast we depart for some local touring. Today we travel to Gravenhurst where we will visit Rich Hill Candles and Gifts for a tour of the production facility followed by some time in the gift shop. Then, we’ll board the Wenonah II for a scenic narrated Luncheon cruise on Lake Muskoka. Everywhere you look you’ll be astounded by absolutely breathtaking beauty while enjoying a delicious meal. We’ll return back to the resort for a wine and hors d’oeurves reception. Tonight enjoy another fabulous home-cooked dinner prepared by the chef followed by an evening of Bingo. (B,L,D)
Day 3: Bala, ON
Today we depart for Bala, home of the Cranberry. Learn about the process from Bog to Bottle as we make a visit to the cranberry marshes during the annual harvest. We’ll tour Johnston’s Cranberry Farm by tractor-pulled wagon and learn about the background on the harvest and production of the cranberry. We’ll enjoy some sampling at the Muskoka Lakes Winery. Later this afternoon we’ll make a stop at the Chocolate and Maple Orchard Factory before returning to the resort. After you freshen up join your friends for a farewell reception with some hors d’oeurves and wine while reminiscing about your Muskoka adventure. Tonight the chef prepares a delicious dinner for us. Then, enjoy the rest of your evening playing a game of bridge or euchre in the games room, enjoying a movie or taking in a late night swim or whirlpool. (B,D)
Day 4: To Ottawa, ON
After a bountiful breakfast, we bid a warm farewell to the staff at the Baldwin’s Resort before beginning our venture home. We will make a stop at Casino Rama where you can “Challenge Your Luck” and enjoy lunch before we continue on to Ottawa. (B)
