Day 1: To Maumee, OH
Today we depart Ottawa traveling westward to the Detroit/Windsor
Border as we continue onto our overnight accommodation at the Baymont Inn in
Maumee, Ohio, or similar.
Day 2: To Pigeon Forge, TN
We travel today through the Kentucky Bluegrass State enroute to
Tennessee arriving in Pigeon Forge late afternoon. Unpack, relax and let the fun
and excitement begin. We’ll overnight the next three nights at the Hampton Inn &
Suites. Tonight we’ll enjoy dinner at the Applewood Farmhouse and Restaurant. (B,D)
Day 3: Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg, TN
Enjoy a deluxe continental breakfast. Today we will visit the little
alpine village of Gatlinburg before arriving at the Miracle Show Theatre. Enjoy
the stunning musical recreation of the Life of Christ told in epic proportion
featuring a cast of over 100 actors, singers, dancers, technicians and live
animals. You will be awed by the magnificent performance and be inspired and
renewed as you witness the glory of “The Miracle.” Enjoy dinner this evening at
the Damons, then we are off to see the Smokies best known, home grown, family of
entertainer’s as The Smith Family will entertain us through a blend of country,
bluegrass, gospel and oldies rock-n-roll music along with plenty of comic
banter. (B,D)
Day 4: Pigeon Forge, TN
Today we will start the day off with a wonderful breakfast at the Old
Mill Restaurant. Then we will depart for the Country Tonite Theatre for the
Patty Waszak morning show. This show is a phenomenal, one-of-a-kind, one-woman
show in which Patty uses nearly 40 musical instruments. A wide variety of music
is featured including big band, country, gospel, bluegrass, polka, 50’s & 60’s,
light rock n’ roll, disco, Dixieland, blues, jazz, broadway and more. This
afternoon we’ll depart for Dollywood. The beauty and sparkle of more than three
million twinkling lights combined with a variety of spectacular holiday
entertainment and fun-filled yuletide, transform Dollywood into a Winter
Wonderland for a traditional old-fashioned holiday celebration. Tonight we’ll
enjoy the Black Bear Jamboree for a “Black Bear Christmas.” Start with a little
musical entertainment of Christmas songs, then a wonderful country feast dinner
served in elegant picnic style. A fabulous evening with lots of great holiday
music and fun for everyone. (B,D)
Day 5: Maumee, OH
Following breakfast we bid farewell to our friends in Tennessee and
return to Maumee, Ohio for our overnight at the Baymont Inn, or similar. (B)
Day 6: Ottawa, ON
It’s homeward bound with many wonderful memories of your country
Christmas Smoky Mountain getaway. (B)
